Flu Jab

Had mine done last year at the health centre. Does anyone know if they send out an appointment for this year or do we have to go in and make an appointment for this years jab?

I am sure that last year I received notification from the surgery of when to go in But this year nothing so far. A friend of mine had hers done yesterday up at the Clinic by Dr Pepper. Perhaps that is the route this year.

I asked at Reception at Clinica La Marina on Wednesday if I could have my flu jab done and they advised the flu jab can be purchased from a Pharmacy for about 7€, and it can be administered at the Clinic. The vaccine must be refrigerated if it is not being administered straight away. I don't know if Dr. Pepa gives you the jab herself, or if one of the nurses does it for you.

For those of you with a SIP card they are starting the jabs at the clinic on Monday. You need to make an appointment.

Went to Clinic today at 10.30.am with SIP Card, Back at 14.00 today for Flu Jab. Obviously everybody will get 14.00 appointment, but what else is their to do on a Monday afternoon and at least I had a choice of what day to join the queue.
