Utilities Cost

Am moving to La Marina next month and just wondered what an approximate monthly cost for water and electricty I can expect as I havent been able to find a tariff anywhere. I appreciate that it depends on our usage, but am just after a rough guide. We are 2 retirees and will be moving into a 2 bedroom semi with communal pool on Oasis and I guess we use 'average' water and lecky.

I like it Ian. " bumpy ". Let's see How many people can pick up on that phrase regarding where this guy is moving too.

Trust you Andi.
But I had hoped that a few figures could be given to help bump them along.

80 euros water and 75 euros lecky per month but we have a watering system on the garden so prob 60 for you.

So, come on you two! What's this about 'bumpy'?

Oasis Peter. I think Ian used the term "bumpy" as a reference to how shocking the roads are down there.

A few people have gone to Iberswitch for another billing account but be warned it seems to take forever and whether there is a justifiable reduction I don't know. maybe some one will post on here if they are with Iberswitch.

Would suggest that you don't go to Iberswitch. They charge €30+IVA to make the change and then take months to arrange it, then charge €3.50+IVA for what they call a management fee.
I've been in business all my life and I cannot for the life of me work out if I'll ever get savings that will exceed my outlay.
Even if Iberdrola are dearer, the mistakes made by the company I've been switched to result in me getting a letter from Iberdrola most months saying that the other company hasn't paid their bill so Iberdrola want the money from me.
Still with me - good - I'll carry on.
When you complain about this to Iberswitch you get a standard response saying ignore the letter from Iberdrola.

Why not just sort out the problem.

As for a tariff, all I can say is that night & day is far better than standard but I would imagine all suppliers will offer something similar.

In summary, don't pay Iberswitch. Do your own research and save some money.

The general consensus is that switching will probably save you less than 15 Euros per annum. And Iberswitch charge per month for their services! At best, I'm sceptical!!

Peter we have been with Iberswitch for a long time now. To be honest we do not know if we are better off or not as it takes some working out. I tried to work it out the first year and it seemed as if we were about 150 euros better off. But with tariffs altering and now the IVA without knowing what Iberdrola are charging I cannot work it out.
