Fiesta - Local Bars.
With the fiesta beginning tomorrow I'd just like to say, please boycott the outside bars being set up and arranged by I guess the local council or whoever is providing the ours for bars.
This is the time where everyone should be buying there drinks from local bars like, Rojos, Final Whistle, Aloha, Temptations, Hogs Head, The George ect ect Sorry if I forgot anyone.
Yes it maybe a convince to buy your drink from one of the ours for bars provided by the fiesta people but at a ridiculous price and for what, for nothing. Please put your money into the local establishments Friday night, Saturday and Sunday.
There is no bar supplied by the town hall this year and its nice to see that you also want to support the town hall as the money raised by the outside bar went towards paying for the music...some people
Surely it is more important to support the local bars, that need to make enough money to stay open through the winter, and continue to pay the council through Suma etc.

A very good point, also there is nothing stopping people from taking there own refreshments if they wish.
Electrons, welcome to the site. You must be new as you'll have soon as realised that Alan is far too old to be the Boss of the site. I'm just wondering that, as I'm approaching 60, do I turn into a grumpy old git overnight or do I have to start practicing now. Advice would be appreciated. Ok only hearsay so don't go jumping in giving me a load of verbal.. But jungle drums say hogs and chief oneils wil be open tomorrow... For fiesta ... If so good luck to them ...
There is no bar for council this year, as I have been told and yes it is nice to support the local bars I will be the for the three nights, but local bars consist of all in la marina not just on consume square who are lucky enough to be able to make lots of money in three days and others forgotten about, the sad part is on Monday everyone is shut , I am not a political person but I don't understand why everyone is always slagging of the town hall have they actually upset you personally....

Thanks for the info, I thought that Alan was maybe part owner of the Forum or a Moderator, as he seems to respond to EVERY post on here, picking fault and nit picking etc.
Anyway, sorry if I offended anyone, I myself thought it tongue cheek, maybe my sense of humor and reading your post Marko, it sounds like it could well be an old git age thing.
As I passed the hogs head on my way to the post office there were two men working on the electricity box box by the George so the drums could be right...........lol

Didn't realize I was nit picking,but you have a view of me that I need to clarify to attempt to clear myself.Afew things in life are hard to take,My main one is Rhematoid Arthritus,Which means that at times in my life I suffer a flare up of this condition,which means that some or most of my joints swell meaning I am in considerable pain with joint inflammation.i do not want your sympathy,other people suffer a lot worse things than me.But during these flare ups I am unable to do most things a normal active person can do,but at the moment I can still move my fingers most of the time.I use up my time doing things on the pc,it saves me from watching t.v all day.As you can tell for the past few weeks I have suffered a flare up,but hopefully this will soon recede and I can continue with a near normal lifr (albeit I will never be able to drink alcohol again)As the medication I take helps me,but will possibly damage some of my vital organs,ut on the good side you wont have to make comments about me always being on this Forum,Until of course the next flare up.Hope this clears things up between us.I hope you have a good day and go to our Fiesta (something I may have to miss this year.

Your correct though, Electrons do have a -tve charge.
This is boring stuff though, I much prefer the La Marina rumor stuff.
There was no bar this year as all the bars gave money to pay for them not to be there, It was good to see that NO BAR ripped people off for the fiesta and charged normal prices, THANK YOU for all your support, we had a great Fiesta and I very much enjoyed it and all your company for the weekend.
