CARP-R-US CLUB NEWS

This week, round two of the Clubs Winter series of matches, was fished on the low numbers of the Eden Canal stretch of the River Segura in Guardamar.

All the week there has been plenty of water in the river from last weekends rain , and on the morning the skies opened up with quite a thunderstorm. But it cleared and turned out to be a nice day.

The water however was very dirty, which disrupted the fishing.
Winner on the day was

Dave Hoare, second was Steve Collins, third Steve Fell and fourth Dennis Pick.

Next weeks match will be the Christmas competition to be held at El Bosquet on Thursday the 13th of December, with pegs at 8.00am and fishing from 9.00 to 2.00pm.

The final match of the year will be on December 20th, once again on the Eden Canal, and the first match of the New Year will be on January 8th on the Sweetwater Canal.

The only December Quiz is the Christmas Quiz, which will be held on December 16th, Teams of 6 or less are welcome to come along and take part- cost of entry is 1€ per person. It commences at 7.30 pm.
The final Club meeting for 2014 is on Sunday 21st December. The Committee meet at 10.30, followed by the General Meeting at 11.00.

The Clubs home is the Bar El Alto La Dolores which is just off the N332 between Guardamar and La Mata, near the Repsol garage.
