We Winter here in La Marina and are very interested in your service over the Summer, are you able to offer a pool cleaning service as well and if so what would you charge in addition,?

The lack of response should sound alarm bells could be a scam or just not a bone fide person just doing it on the "black" if something goes wrong YOU would have the problem, hope I am wrong but surely if you want to gain trust etc you would check for any replies to the posting been 2 days + now

Not at all but careful by nature I was also referring to my posting for a reply and I dont have a low opinion of others unless proved other wise

As I'm aware of, you don't have to pay to advertise your business on the forum wall or put a number up unless the admin have changed the rules or small print of the site now.

Hi Andi, after I realised that a number of my posts had been deleted I sent an e-mail to the contact page as I couldn't understand what the problem was as I have seen telephone numbers on the forum previously, I was advised that they are trying to now put a stop to this in hope that people will pay for advertising.

I think Alan was quite correct in regarding this forum and another local forum.
It's a shame that forum members were not notified with a post by admin. That was probably one of the best things regarding this site that you could advertise as you please.
Oh well I think Alan was correct in his assumption.

If you took the trouble to read my postings you would see that I was interested in your services, and I was asking some relevant questions, they may be not to you but they are to me and maybe other people but there again if you can not answer or verify the questions it makes one suspicious, as for the postings being helpful or interesting they could be un helpful to a scammer but interesting to warn others if there is a scammer if you could maybe answer what I feel were legitimate questions, but there again you may wish to avoid them if you cant honestly answer them

2nd Casa, to answer your question the purpose of my post was to see how much interest there would be in the service that I offer, as I am sure you are aware to register a business and get insured and everything else cost a small fortune and I am not in the habit of paying out money without doing my research. All I want to do is provide a good reliable service of which I would be proud to offer and in the event that I can actually guarantee that there is a business to insure, then obviously I would. However how many neighbours/friends/estate agents are actually insured when they supply this service? Information I would be very interested to know.

Back in 98 I worked for someone who done the type of service you offer and it was so popular, although this was in the torre area at the time.

I would ask you to please read again the email that was sent to you

It states that the best thing for you to do is add your business to the services pages of the site and then when you post just add a link to the page.
The reason for this is that you would better be able to explain your services and that we as a web site were trying to get more services listed.
At no time were you ask to pay for advertising as Andi is correct its FREE

I think you will find that if you offer a service most people would want to know and ask questions, you did not make it clear you were not trading as of yet, as for others doing this i think you will find if someone is charging for this they can expect to be asked as some insurance company's can refuse to pay out following a claim if they do not know of the key holders.
I was interested in your service but with your attitude to my enquiry NO WAY I wish you luck maybe change the way you answer future clients because if something goes wrong you WILL need all the answers very fast as paying customers will always look for reimbursement as soon as something goes wrong !! as for agents doing this service just ask you will soon see the good ones and the fly by nights but sometimes only found out when things go wrong not the best time to have thought to ask the relevant questions.
Maybe this gives food for thought to others.
PS you imply that you have been offering this service for a number of years saying you can supply references etc you do not say it is just research for a new venture you could leave yourself wide open to all sorts of litigation if thing went wrong and a client made a claim against you, all the best I feel you may need it

2nd Casa You are obviously entitled to your opinion, however as you do not know me as a person I find it difficult for you to judge me. It has taken me a long time to pluck up the courage to put this advert on the forum as I wanted to be sure that it was a service that people would benefit from, I have thought long and hard about the service I want to provide. I have watched the local areas change with the crisis and seen many people leaving Spain which in turn has left neighboring properties that they used to watch over vulnerable. My decision was made for me recently when a man was seen looking in a house window that didn't belong to him, I alerted the community to make them aware and keep their eyes open. I have been supplying this service to people over many years and NOT charging, because that's the type of person I am. However, I now feel confident that this service would be useful to people and I do not feel that the prices quoted are unrealistic. As you can see, my business venture doesn't even have a name as of yet so it is still in early stages. As far as things going wrong? I am sure I can manage to walk into someone property and check it's security, collect post and send an e-mail, believe me this is well within my capabilities. I do not feel it will be necessary to continue with this argument on this forum, however my number is available if you wish to continue this further. Thank you for your time. Sam
