Dear Julie thank you for your mail,I will take a look at those pot holes ,but there is a small problem , Parque del Ebro is private belongs to the communnity of the Parque ,most of the parques in the Urbanization are still private they were never handed to the TownHall by the developers ,we can be sue as we were before for doing Works in private áreas ,
Anyway tomorrow I will go to see the situation and see if I COULD DO ANYTHING TO HELP AS A MATTER OF DANGER . cheers Councillor Paulino
" the parques in the Urbanization are still private" Private if you need any help and not private if you park your car. A friend of mine got parking-fine for having his car parked in the parque. 48 Euro. The same parque the Ayuntamiento informed is private when we asked for help! ????
bOTH MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF WOULD LIKE TO SEE ALL THESE pARQUES ADOPTED BY THE LOCAL COUNCIL. WHEN WE BOUGHT ON PARQUE MANZANARES, 7 YEARS AGO, WE WERE NOT INFORMED BY OUR SOLICITOR THAT IT WAS A PRIVATE PARQUE. THE FIRST WE KNEW OF THIS WAS WHEN WE HAD TROUBLE WITH THE SEWERAGE A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND I WAS INFORMED BY JEFF THAT THE PARQUE WAS PRIVATE AND NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM. THERE WERE TREE ROOTS IN THE SEWERAGE PIPES AND IT WAS CAUSING A BLOCKAGE. WE HAD SOME COWBOY OUT TO UNBLOCK IT, IT RAN FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS AND THEN BLOCKED UP AGAIN. WE THEN HAD TO PAY SOMEONE TO COME AND UNBLOCK IT PROPERLY - TOTAL COST 300 EUROS. ONE OF OUR NEIGHBOURS GAVE US 20 EUROS TOWARDS IT. I WOULD RATHER PAY EXTRA SUMA TO BE COVERED FOR THIS, SO PLEASE, ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME THEY WERE ADOPTED. THEY ALL LOOK SO UNTIDY, IT DOES NOT DO THE URBANIZATION ANY GOOD.
Totally agree Caroline, you don't get told when buying that their "Private" I would, like you, rather they were taken over by the Townhall, and pay a little extra in the taxes, than see the "Parques" turn into eyesores and derelict places a blight on The Urbanization. Wouldn't it be within the Councils best interest to maintain the "Parques" after all, the Parques are not going to disappear they'll just fall into more disrepair. This cop out statement..."the Parques are Private" will not make the Parques or their problems disapear. We have rights, votes and pay taxes. Something pro-active needs to be done, and this pass the buck mentality can't continue. I would appreciate it if Cllr. Paulino, could find some way of making the "Parques" on a par with the rest of the Urbanization. If Cllr. Paulino could integrate us with the rest of the Urbanization I would be most appreciative, thank you for any help Cllr. Paulino.
JULIE HOW ABOUT GETTING UP A PETITION AND GETTING ALL RESIDENTS ON THE PARQUES TO SIGN IT AND HOPEFULLY CONVINCE THE COUNCIL TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. WE MAY GET THE SUPPORT OF INDEPENDENT HOME OWNERS AS WELL, I AM SURE THEY WOULD RATHER SEE TIDY ROADS AND GARDENS AROUND THE URB.
Yes Caroline, I think that might be a good idea ! It might make the Councillors sit up and take notice instead of passing the buck and trotting out the same old worn out statements and excuses ! I would be willing to go around and do something pro-active about the situation than just sit on the fence and give out. People power and voting power are the only cards we hold, but pretty strong cards they are though ! I would be willing to go around and get a petition up. As I cant speak Spanish, French or German, though, if anyone who can speak any of those languages and could explain to their fellow neighbours, friends about the situation and getting a petition up this would be great. Yes I think Caroline it would be the only way of resolving this situation.
Thank you Clllr Paulino, for your reply. Yes it is a very dangerous situation, as a lot of people use that entrance to get to the bus stop and to go to and from The Sports Centre. I look forward to an update on the situation and any help, to alleviate the dangerous conditions, thank you.
